I digitally created the composition for this quilt from photos of an actual pieced quilt I made in the isolation days of the Coronavirus pandemic. I had that digital image printed onto a silk/linen blend fabric, added a backing and batting, and then quilted it by hand. I made this quilt as we were starting to be able to rejoin society. Fading the blocks in and out reminded me of that time of the Coronavirus. Our communities would work to reduce the number of cases, then we would let down our guard, come out of isolation, and the virus would hit us again. Printed on a silk/linen blend.
